It beggars belief how many people have different views about just what or who God is.
Christianity believes it has the unique knowledge necessary to be able to quanitify God but, in reality, they are as much in the dark as everybody else because they rely upon a book written in such an obscure and confusing manner that it is possible to have an auditorium full of experts and not find two who agree with each other about what it says.
The evidence for a creator is all around us but it is also clear that those who claim that the whole content of space is the result of a simple accident cannot be convincingly repudiated.
It is my belief that we each have our own God and that His influence upon our lives is exercised by the simple process of serendipity. How many of us have benefited from being in the right place at the right time? Do we all see each occurrence of serendipity as an isolated event or do some of us, as I do, see a pattern?
Serendipity has been a huge presence in my life and I am no longer surprised when circumstances arise that ease what was going to be a major traumatic experience.
I do not propose to write an ebook and sell the “secret” to attracting the most serendipitous of circumstances á la Law of Attraction nor am I going to try to create a “self improvement” course that will have serendipity oozing from your ear holes.
Serendipity is all the evidence I need that there are, indeed, guardians (some call them angels) on this Earth and that they answer to a powerful controller (God?) to ensure that those with a task to perform are maintained (even if at a subsistence level) until that task is completed.
I do not see my God as some fluffy bunny type who “loves” me but as a vengeful and jealous type who sees His creation and can be driven to extreme measures to chastise and punish it.
I have no idea if eternal life is available through my God but I do know that as long as I have a task to perform, my God will not forsake me.
