Nostalgia

I, too was once young!

I, too was once young!

Sometimes it is only the memories of the past that can validate the expectations of your future.

I am forever being told that because I do not subscribe to the ‘happy, clappy’, positive generation that i will forever attract misery into my life.

I am also told that I have to adopt this plastic imitation of a philosophy if I want to improve my current situation.

Who are these self deluded fools who believe that I am not happy? Why do they not see that my happiness does not rely upon a luxurious lifestyle nor upon owninmg lots of shiny objects. Maybe my greed genes were missed out?

Like many people, I have lived through decades of happiness, sadness and simple survival. It pleases me that I can still take great pleasure in turning over a rock to see what resides underneath. It distresses me that too few people can have the same simple pleasure.

Here is a quick slide show of some of my earlier memories, memories which are now fresher and more complete than those that I gathered yesterday.
